TRC Biosecurity Plan
Return to Regular Quarantine Policy - 1.14.26
At the TRC Board Meeting on 1.14.26, the Board discussed the latest news RE: the EHV-1 virus and the continued lack of any cases in Kansas. We discussed the opening up of shows and events and decided that it is prudent to return to our normal Quarantine Policy of quarantining new horses for 14 days in our established quarantine pen.
Owners of quarantined horses are to tack up away from other horses (please don’t use the East Barn or West Barn hitching posts/areas) and are not to use any communal water or hay buckets/troughs. Quarantined horses may use the TRC facilities (arenas/trails) during their quarantined time.
Members who are hauling their horses to shows will continue to use an abundance of caution RE: having horses use only their own water/grain/hay buckets. When possible, please stable horses while away with as much distance as possible from other horses outside of our TRC herd.
TRC welcomes our new Members and their horses! We wish our Members a successful show season! Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our TRC herd healthy.
